5 months old baby girl survives car accident but two adults die

A 5-month-old baby girl along with a 12-year-old girl survived a car (Alto) accident on February 11 at around 8:30 am.

The accident took place 7 km away from Kamichu, Wangdue towards Tsirang. Four passengers, including the two girls, were travelling in the car. Two adult (one male and one female) died on the spot. The deceased were relatives.

Police said that, a man was Vice Principal of Drujegang Higher Secondary School. Both the victims were 36 years of age and were from Ngatshang, Mongar.

The two girls were taken to Kamichu BHU, later on they were referred to Bajo hospital. The 5 months old baby girl had just a minor injury while the 12 years old girl suffered a major injury. Both the girls are in a stable condition.

The bodies of the victims were handed over to their respective relatives on the same day.

Police said that the cause of accident might be over speeding or careless driving. However, the case is still under investigation.
