38-year-old Phub Dorji, from Gangtey Gewog, won the NC elections with 4,143 votes. He came out victorious out of the five participants in the 2023 NC election.
During the NC election campaign, Phub Dorji pledged to assess return times and streamline feedback processes in order to enhance the delivery of public services. He also pledged to concentrate on the efficient use of resources in order to alleviate the escalating social inequities.
Additionally, he promises to strengthen institutions that fight corruption, encourage good governance, and concentrate on reviewing the complete autonomy of state-owned enterprises.
Phub Dorji has a bachelor’s degree in English. He worked as a TV producer, anchor, writer, and editor in BBS for 12 years.
