The common forum in Paro commenced from the May 11 from Naja gewog and was completed successfully on May 16 in Luni gewog. The candidates are now busy with their door-to-door campaigns across the constituency.
DNT’s candidate designate Nima Tshering explained his party’s ideology, pledges from the party manifesto, and to choose for the right candidate who shall serve the Tsa-Wa-Sum with dedication and loyalty.
He said, “Democracy is not about political parties, politician, it is for the people.”
During his campaign, he shared his concern about the difficulties that people face in their day-to-day life.
PDP’s candidate designate Kezang Wangmo is in Dawakha gewog on her campaign. She completed her campaigning in Luni and Naja gewog. During her campaign, she talked to people about her party manifesto and ideology.
“Water supplies and road connections need to be improved in Naja gewog,” Kezang Wangmo said during her conversation with the villagers.
“My campaign is going smoothly and with zero-corruption.”
Tsento Gup, Chencho said, “Common forum for the gewog was carried out smoothly.”
In addition, he said the candidates of the four parties briefed the public on the farm road construction, solving the issues of water shortages proper planning, accessible facilities, and promoting high budget allocation to the gewog.
Dotey Gup Sangay Tshewang said the common forum in the gewog was also completed successfully and the candidates addressed the public on their responsibilities.
If elected, the candidates would work according to the law, decrease the rate of poverty, look forward into revision of certain laws and black-top roads, he added.
