Five who ‘believe’ endorses the Bhutan Kuen-Nyam party

In a press conference last Wednesday the Bhutan Kuen-Nyam Party (BKP) introduced five people who endorsed what the party stood for and planned to do for the nation.

“People comes first and then politics for second,” said the president of the BKP, Sonam Tobgay during the conference which was held on 30 January as an initiation of the five ‘believers’.

According to the president of the party these people supported the party as they truly believed in BKP and they subscribe to the party’s ideology.

At the same time BKP also feels that in addition to the party, candidates represent different constituencies where it requires support bases with diverse backgrounds in terms of trainings/outlooks, women entrepreneur and the senior citizens.

The five party supporters introduced in the conference are all personalities who grew in their respective field of works as notable performers. Now, it’s the political frontiers where they have decided to show interest out of concern for the nation’s welfare.

The fiver are: Dasho Kinzang Namgyal, the former managing director of Food Corporation of Bhutan (FCB), Ugyen P. Norbu, an independent consultant specializing in sustainability development, Ugyen Dorji, the proprietor of Yangki Automobiles, Kunga Tenzin Dorji, a Journalist and Musician and Tshering Yangzom, an upcoming and promising entrepreneur.

In perspective with the BKP president, the new candidates are positioned in terms of age, skills, and qualifications to address the various relevant areas.

In Dasho Kinzang Namgyal, the party has a senior citizen whereby it would acknowledge senior citizens in terms of contributions in the past.

It would amount to manifestation of BKP’s appreciation and gratitude to the senior citizens and to the seniors who served the country.

He was positioned as an ambassador.

Ugyen P. Norbu represents the intellectual group with his 23 years plus experience in the civil service where, for 11 years he worked as a consultant both in the national and international boundaries. And now the BKP is assured of his support and guidance through intellectual discourses to pave a good road maps toward the party’s development agenda.

Ugyen Dorji, is a simple and humble man who is dedicated to the course of the party and is ‘willing to work hard in the pursuit of his ideals’. The party represents him as an organization of new technologies in the service of the industries.

The BKP acknowledged Kunga Tenzin Dorji as its ambassador who will represent the youth and the freedom of expression.

Tshering Yangzom will represent the women leadership force in terms of energy, ideas, innovations and entrepreneurship.

  1. Of all the parties, BKP’s ideology is based on the true principle of democracy. The party should relentlessly geared towards bridging wide gap between rich and poor. Otherwise Bhutan can never realize the noble development philosophy of GNH. We Bhutanese  will give u an opportunity to run the next Government. The present ruling party has so far only facilitate in widening the gap.
