Fourteen member delegates of NC led by the Hon’ble chairperson leave for New Delhi

A fourteen-member delegation of the National Council led by the Hon’ble Chairperson leave for an eight-day parliamentary visit to India today on the invitation of the Government of India.

The members of the delegation include Chairpersons of the Foreign Relations Committee and Economic Affairs Committee of the National Council.

This will be the first foreign parliamentary visit after the recent elections. The goodwill visit is intended to further strengthen Bhutan-India friendship. It is also part of the ongoing exchanges between two Parliaments.

During the visit, the delegation will call on the Hon’ble Speaker of Lok Sabha and Minister of External Affairs. The delegation will also attend a three-day seminar organized by the Bureau of Parliamentary Studies and Training.
