Dzongkhag Tshogdu begins
A two-day Dzongkhag Tshogdu started on 8 October in Monggar dzongkhag.
Of the many important discussions on agenda one in particular during the session was about the importance of the Local government leaders in all 205 gewogs and their benefits.
During the session, local government official raised the concerns regarding Travel Allowance and Daily Allowance (TADA), leave, mileage as well as retirement benefits which are not given.
“People submitted that works are more but they are paid less,” said the Monggar Gup Dechen Yeshi.
Another important thing discussed was on the loan process in Bhutan Development Bank Limited (BDBL).
On the second day, an important discussion topic will be an issue regarding Engineers and contractors. The work of sector heads will also be reviewed along with the problems related to the people in the course of the dzongkhag tshogdu.
The Proposal for 11th five year plan has also been proposed on the day.
For the Dzongkhag Tshogdu, 17 Gups and Mangmis as well as Dzongdas, Drungpas and Dzongrabs attended the session.
The two-day Dzongkhag Tshogdu ends today.

Dorji Lopon blesses Trashigang
Venerable Dorji Lopon of Zhung Dratshang is currently in Trashigang since his arrival. The Lam Neten, Dzongda, other officials, local government officials and Sector heads had received Venerable Dorji Lopon upon his arrival on 2 October.
His eminence Dorji Lopon on the first day of his visit to Trashigang consecrated Goenpoi Tendhea and Lhamoi Tendhea.
He also presided over the Goen-poi Tong-tshok and Lha-moi Tong-tshok and Further on 4 October, the Dorji Lopon consecrated the Jampelyang statue in Trashigang Middle Secondary School and presided over a Drag-mar Wang blessed in the Dzong courtyard to more than hundreds of people who gathered for the ceremony.
The Venerable Dorji Lopon also visited Gongthung Drupdhey and Kanglung Shedra on October 4.

Development works pending.
Development works underway in Darla gewog in Chukha. The Gewog has otherwise completed the Rural Water Supply Scheme (RWSS) schemes in Norgaytode, Sinchula and Gamanang with the budget of Nu 0.4mn.
The earthquake on 18 September, 2011 had destroyed the main water source and the maintenance is ongoing.
Maintenance works on a 1.5 Kilometers farm road in Tabji is underway which includes clause ways and machinery line drains and the budget used is Nu 1.1mn. A small community lhakhang built involved a budget of Nu 0.7mn just for the materials and then for the skilled labors.
The people in the gewog benefit hugely from lhakhang as it is central for life in the village.
According to the Gup the pending works will be completed by June, next year and the budget will be used from the fiscal year 2012-2013.
