His Majesty The King on 22nd January 2016 granted dhar to the new gups elected during the local government by-elections.
Rinzin from Drametsi, Mongar, Nim Dorji from Gakiding, Haa, Prem Bdr. Ghalley from Tading, Samtse, Sonam Dendup from Langthil, Trongsa, and Padam Singh Monger from Dekiling, Sarpang, are the new gups, elected from the local government by-elections after the previous gups were not able to continue in their office due to various reasons.
