It was a special Dashain for the people of Lokchina Gewog, who were privileged to welcome His Majesty The King to their gewog and receive Tika personally from their King on 22nd October.
Hundreds of people from the gewog, as well as from neighbouring areas, were gathered at the school grounds to meet their King on the auspicious day, and received the Dashain Tika.
His Majesty granted Tokha and spent the day amongst the people, who presented cultural performances for the occassion.
Addressing the people, His Majesty said that it was important for the Bhutanese people to remain united and live in harmony, so that the future of the country continues to be secure and peaceful.
His Majesty reassured them that their difficulties and kidu would continue to receive His Majesty’s personal attention.
After the public celebration, His Majesty spent the rest of the day visiting the people in their homes till late in the evening. His Majesty spent the night camped in Lokchina.
Yesterday, His Majesty and Her Majesty The Gyaltsuen granted Audience to the people of Sampheling gewog, where His Majesty granted Tokha to the people.
Their Majesties are on a Royal Tour of the villages across Chhukha Dzongkhag. His Majesty granted land Kidu to the people of Chhukha on October 15.
