The construction of an irrigation channel which stretches 300 meters is stalled in Gesarling due to the rupee crunch, cadastral survey and lack of labor. Gesarling Gup Mani Kumar said that the work has been suspended following orders from the finance section of the Dagana dzongkhag. The cement dealer, Purna cement agency clarified that it cannot supply adequate cement for the construction as the factory supplies very limited stocks which have to be distributed to many sub-consumers.
