Irrigation channel to come up with new paddy fields

Paddy fields will be visible in Pangzur Kago Nawa under baling chiwog only after the completion of the seven kilometers irrigation channel.“We don’t have a paddy field in the chiwog despite the spacious and barren area because there were no water sources in the area, so people are planning to construct a paddy field after completion of the irrigation channel,” said the Gup Lham Dorji. Till date, about 35% of the channel has been completed investing a sum of Nu 1.5mn. About Nu 5mn from the 2013 budget would be invested to complete the whole channel.
