An irrigation channel which was destroyed by a landslide last year in Nimshong chiwog under Gangzur gewog in Lhuentse is being renovated and is halfway through. According to Gup Karma Drukpa, the damage occurred after the completion of transplantation works last year but people were filled with fear that their works would be affected this year. However, the villagers are working hard together to complete the work within a month so that farming is not affected during summer. Around Nu 0.2mn from the Constitutional Development Grant (CDG) will be spent on the maintenance work. Fifty villages will be affected if the 200 meters channel is not completed on time.
