Tshimasham police in Chukha have arrested a 23-year-old man in connection to illicit trafficking of drugs and psychotropic substance on December 1 at around 20:30 hrs.
The suspect is from Changzamtog in Thimphu. He was arrested during a routine checking of upcoming vehicles and was heading towards Thimphu in a taxi. “During the routine checking, the suspect was carrying 906 capsules of Spaxmo-Proxyvon (SP),” said the police.
Upon interrogation, the suspect revealed he had purchased the illegal substances from one of the shops at Jaigaon for Nu 7000, and he said that he bought the drugs for self-consumption.
“He had confessed to the crime being committed and he tested positive.
