A 54-year-old man, an Indian laborer working at the Punatshangchhu II, died on the spot on May 31 after being crushed by a falling boulder.
The deceased was from Jharkhand, India and was working as a driller for the Punatshangchhu II project in Kamichu under Wangduephodrang.
The incident happened at around 7:30 pm.
During the time of the mishap, the victim was working inside the main tunnel access, which is the entry point to power house. The incident occurred just half an hour before the next shift change.
The body of the victim was handed over to the liaison officer of Jai Prakash Associates Limited.
