Milk collection center by June

By June Dakarla gewog will have its own milk collection center in Chamgang toe which is  around 15 kms from Thimphu.

According to the Dakarla Gup, Gado, the milk booth will help in generating income for the villagers.

“Since they have been selling at doorsteps, they had to come to Thimphu all the way from Dakarla just to sell a few litres of milk,” he said.

However, after the milk collection center is established, 10 voluntary members will collect the milk and sell it in Thimphu. These volunteers will get a monthly salary of  Nu 1,000 each. The construction for the Nu 0.4 mn milk booth has already  begun.Dakarla has 127 households who possess 20 cows.
