Nanglam police arrested a 35 years old DCM truck driver in a hit and ran case on 6th October . The driver ran away after hitting and injuring a three year old girl.
The DCM truck hit the girl while she was crossing the road to reach her mother who was on the other side.
The incident took place in Gashari Bhali to Gyelposhing highway at around 3pm, which was 7 km away from Nganglam.
The driver was caught from Nganglam town on the same day of the incident. “His truck’s right indicator was broken and its glass pieces were found at the accident site”, police official said.
The victim was taken to Nanglam BHU by the local people and was later referred to the Guwahati hospital. She is now in a stable condition. The victim’s father is a driver. Nganglam police will be forwarding the case to court.
