Non-national succumbs to injuries

A 43-year-old non national worker succumbed to his injuries on Monday morning. He was hit by a stone on his head at Beychhu in Wangduephodrang.

The deceased was working as a boomer operator at a construction site in Punatshangchhu II.

On the unfortunate day, a stone had fallen on a detonator which exploded inside one of the tunnels. Four laborers had sustained minor injuries while the victim who was at a distance was hit on his head by a flying stone.

The deceased was from Madhya Pradesh (MP) in India. He died on the way to the hospital.

The body was handed over to the officials of Jai Prakash Limited. Till date, four laborers working for Jai Prakash Limited have died in Bhutan.
