Paro peddler still at large

Police were on the lookout for a peddler in Paro town who is alleged to have employed other youth to sell contraband substances.

On the evening of August 3, ParoPolice receivedinformation about a person employing other youths to sell illegal prescription drugs in Paro town. When police reached his place, the suspect had already fled leaving his apartment open. Using a tenant in the same building as a witness, police searched the suspect’sapartment and seized 539 capsules of Spasmoproxyvon (SP) and an empty file of NitroSun (N10) tablets.

In another case, Police apprehended a 28-year-old man from the Santi colony in Samtse on the morning of August 5 for abuse on illegal substances.

On searching his apartment, police recovered 68 capsules of Spasmoproxyvon (SP). He confessed to buying the substance from Birpara, India for self-consumption.
