Lyonchhen Tshering Tobgay and the members of the government performance and management system (GPMS) completed the mid-year review of annual performance agreements (APA) of six eastern dzongkhags in Mongar on 31st January 2015.
The Dzongdags of Trashi Yangtse, Pema Gatshel, Lhuentse, Samdrup Jongkhar, Trashigang and Mongar presented their achievements of the last six months yesterday at the Mongar Dzong.
Lyonchhen congratulated the dzongkhags for fulfilling most of their targets and said that setting specific targets contributed substantially in efficient delivery of services. Lyonchhen thanked the officials and said that their performances reflect their dedication and assiduousness.
Furthermore, Lyonchhen reiterated that the annual performance agreements were in place to allow civil servants to excel and accomplish their goals and not to judge failures. Lyonchhen also stressed that civil servants must get together to discuss and recommend better measures to address general issues and challenges.
Lyonchhen Tshering Tobgay was in Trongsa on 1st February for the mid-year evaluation of annual performance agreements (APAs) signed between the Prime Minister and Dzongdags of Trongsa, Zhemgang and Bumthang last year.
Lyonchhen emphasized that the agreements will benefit all Dzongdags, civil servants and LG officials in reaching their overall objectives. Lyonchhen commended on their progress and said that they must frame bigger targets and start paving their way to bigger successes in the coming years.
