Two farm roads await motorable bridges

Seven chiwogs with approximately 126 households at Goenshari gewog will soon have access to two motor able bridges. More than 75 % of works on the Thorim zam has been completed with a budget of Nu 8.6 mn. Though a farm road was already constructed in 2006, it remained under utilized because there was no bridge to connect the chiwog. Chuzhadhon bridge is also under construction with a budget of Nu 8.3 mn funded by the Department of Disaster Management. This will benefit villagers who earlier had to walk two to three hours to reach the nearest road point. It became easier when a farm road was constructed in 2008 and a Bailey bridge connected the village but the bridge was destroyed by a flash flood in the same year.
