While the nation was busy preparing for celebrating the 60th birth anniversary, a few chose to take a detour by stealing the flowers planted by the National Biodiversity Center under the Ministry of Agriculture.
The culprits, a hotelier and one of his staffs aged 56 and 29 years respectively were in town for some catering business. They were caught stealing 3 chrysanthemum flower plants below the swimming pool area at 2:50 a.m on 5th November by the police patrolling the area.
The case falls under larceny as it involves the theft of property. The case is under investigation.
