Two years before proper classrooms are constructed

The students of Menji will have proper classrooms and hostels only after two years. At the moment ,they are  making do with bamboo huts.  The construction was planned  to end by next year but due to hazardous weather, it was postponed to 2014.

“Due to unhygienic and dusty classrooms, students are suffering from different kind of sicknesses,” said the Menji Gup,  Jigme Tshewang.

He added that a few days ago students   suffered from diarrhea, too.  As soon as the Nu 20 mn construction is over, the school would be upgraded to junior  school. At the moment the school  has 150 students and classes till VII.
