The Bhutanese Leading the way.
Lyonchhen met the US Ambassador Richard Verma at the Gyalyong Tshogkhang, on 17th May. During the meeting, they discussed relations between the two countries and exchanged views on how to further enhance the existing cooperation. The current visit by the US Ambassador is part of the regular exchange of visits.
The Ambassador also met His Majesty the King and His Majesty the Fourth King earlier.
Some of the areas of discussion was on the USA’s larger policy towards the Asia region, educational programs and clean energy programs.
The Ambassador thanked Bhutan for its contribution to the Paris Convention on climate change.
The Ambassador also expressed an interest to strengthen the relationship in a range of areas.
