It’s been more than a year since the people of Tsirang have grappled water crisis. And presently the farm works in Gosarling gewog have come to a near-standstill. “It’s been months that we didn’t do any work in our field because there is no water or rainfall in the village. As it’s completely dry, we can’t grow anything,” said a farmer, Puchu. “The villagers fetch their drinking water from a pond or a stream nearby which they have to walk for an hour,” the Gup of Gosarling, Kharka Bhadhur Tamang said the water crisis is there in every gewog of Tsirang because the source for the drinking water has dried up.
