The Ambassador of Czech Republic to Bhutan, H.E. Mr. Miloslav Stasek paid a farewell call on Lyonchhen Tshering Tobgay at the Gyalyong Tshogkhang yesterday.
Lyonchhoen congratulated the ambassador for successful completion of his tenure and thanked him for his constructive role in deepening relations between Bhutan and Czech Republic.
The leaders spoke of, among others, furthering contacts such as promoting people-to-people connections via exhibitions and trainings.
Lyonchhen conveyed that he had high hopes that the cordial relations would continue to strengthen overtime. Lyonchhoen also thanked the ambassador for his personal interest and guidance especially in the area of development assistance rendered to Bhutan over the years.
In a facebook post the PM said, “H.E Mr Miloslav Stasek, the Czech Republic’s ambassador to India has visited us 10 times during the three years he was accredited as ambassador to Bhutan. He is here on his last official visit as ambassador. I thank him for strengthening the relations between our two countries and wish him the best of luck as he assumes bigger responsibilities in Prague.”
Bhutan established diplomatic relations with Czech Republic in December 2011.
