Her Majesty Gyalyum Ashi Sangay Choden Wangchuck gifted high-end hospital beds to the Ministry of Health. The handing taking ceremony was held at the JDWNRH Conference Hall, Thimphu on 17 July 2018 starting at. The ceremony was graced by Her Majesty and attended by senior officials of the Ministry of Health and JDWNRH.
High-end hospital beds are designed for wellbeing and comfort of patients. The Ministry of Health would distribute these beds to health facilities across the country after a careful assessment of needs.
“The gift is yet another generous gesture of Her Majesty to improve the health and wellbeing of all Bhutanese. Her Majesty has visited all 20 Dzongkhags to advocate and sensitize people on priority public health and social issues. Her Majesty has been the UNFPA Goodwill Ambassador since 2006,” said a release from the Ministry.
