His Majesty The King arrived in Thimphu after a Royal Tour of the South on 21 October, and entered quarantine. During the tour, His Majesty visited Gelephu, Samtse, Lhamoyzhingkha and Phuentsholing.
While in Samtse, His Majesty met with the De-suups training in the 46th Batch De-suung Training Programme in Tendruk, and De-suups working at the Lingtey Irrigation Scheme (National Service Water Project) in Sangngachoeling. His Majesty also visited the Gyalsung site under development in Jamtsholing.
His Majesty granted Audiences to the faculty and staff of Samtse College of Education and the Samtse Covid-19 Task Force and civil service sector heads.
On 19th October, His Majesty visited Lhamoyzingkha from Phuentsholing, and granted Audiences to the Drungkhag Covid Task Force and civil service sector heads, and De-suups working at the Lhamoyzingkha National Service Water Project.
In Phuentsholing, His Majesty granted Audiences to the Southern Covid Task Force, the faculty of RIGSS, and the staff of the Anti Corruption Commission who are in Phuentsholing.
His Majesty also visited the College of Science and Technology in Rinchending and granted an Audience to the faculty there.
