His Majesty The King granted an Audience to the Indian Chief of Army Staff, General Manoj Pande, at the Throne Room of the Tashichhodzong.
General Manoj Pande is on a two-day visit to Bhutan, his first since his appointment as the Indian Army Chief in April 2022.
The General was received with a Chipdrel and Guard of Honour at the Tashichhodzong, where he received an Audience with His Majesty The King, and then called on the Chief Operations Officer (COO), of the Royal Bhutan Army, Lt. General Batoo Tshering.
Earlier in the morning, General Manoj Pande visited the National Memorial Chorten to lay a wreath in memory of His Majesty the Third Druk Gyalpo.
The General also received an Audience with His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo.
The visit takes forward the exceptional relations of friendship and cooperation that exist between India and Bhutan.
