The Foreign Minister is the party spokesperson and one of the founders of DNT, Lyonpo (Dr) Tandin Dorji, 50, has masters in international public health and MBA and who worked as a pediatrician.
Former Dzongkha Development Commission Secretary, Lyonpo Dasho Sherub Gyeltshen, 63 from Mongar constituency is the home and culture affairs minister of Bhutan.
Lyonpo Loknath Sharma, 47 from Dophuchen-Tading, Samtse, has masters in economics from Allahabad University, India is the minister for economic affairs and worked as a community service worker and is also the former regional head of Road Safety and Transport Authority.

The Prime Minister is of the view said that since he had had his own share of hardships, Lyonpo Ugyen Dorji would be well aware about the ground realities on the youth employment issues and will be able to connect with the youths better. He has a Master in Public Policy from Lee Kaun Yew, Singapore and BA English and Dzongkha, Sherubtse College. He is a former diplomat and a print journalist.

Lyonpo Namgay Tshering, 39, from Dogar-Shabha, Paro is the minister of finance. He has a Masters Degree in public health from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand and BSc. Communication from University of Madras, India.
To ensure regional balance there are three representatives each from West, South and East and one representative from the central- Trongsa.
In an unconventional approach, the portfolio has been assigned considering individual competencies and personal proficiencies, and not necessarily in tune with the educational or professional background.
