Norbuling Rigter College in Paro inaugurated by PM

Norbuling Rigter College was established in July 2017 by offering BBA and B.Com programmes. The college is affiliated to the Royal University of Bhutan.

The college was formally inaugurated by Prime Minister Dasho Tshering Tobgay on Friday and was also attended by the Education Minister Lyonpo Norbu Wangchuk, Former Minister Lyonpo Sangay Ngedup and many other dignitaries including the Vice Chancellor, Education Secretary, Dzongdas of Paro and Haa and all the sector and local government heads of Paro.

In his address, HPM urged the College to infuse Bhutanese values, culture, and history as a part of value added programme so that children stay rooted as this cannot be found even in the top notch universities.  He also stressed that Paro is an ideal location for education and the community should collaborate with the college so that as the college grows the community can also benefit.

On this special and big day, the college also offered scholarships to 7 students.

The College offers BBA and B.Com at the moment and will diversify the programmes in future.
