PM and FM complete 21-km Coronation Run

Lyonchhen (Dr) Lotay Tshering participated in the 21-kilometre coronation run Bhutan Olympic Committee organised on the morning of 1st November to commemorate the 11th Anniversary of His Majesty’s Coronation in 2008.

“I thoroughly enjoyed,” he said. “For a 50-year-old, to be able to complete the run without much practice, not bad right?” He laughed and continued for a photo session with rest of the participants.

Foreign minister Tandi Dorji also completed the marathon.

The PM earlier wrote on his Facebook page saying, “Our government completes one year in another six days. We seize this moment to offer our deepest gratitude to Your Majesty for the blessing and guidance with which we could serve with sincerity and confidence.”

“Reflecting on the moments from 11 years ago, and every passing day in between, we draw inspiration to work harder and contribute to the nation. And for today and years to come, we say our heartfelt prayers for Your Majesty’s good health and for the peace and harmony of our country. Tashi Delek la,” he added.
