Tashi Cell is official Samsung outlet with S 8 phone launch

Samsung latest mobile devices, Galaxy S8 and S8+, are now available in Bhutan through Tashi Cell.

At the launch on April 25 in Thimphu Mr. Pranaya R. Sthapit, DGM, HHP Division of Samsung Electronics India Limited, said the device provides ample additional features not found in other phones. “It offers the industry’s first 10nm processor, a cinematic viewing experience with bezel-less dual-edge infinity display alongside the cutting-edge technology, including revolutionary camera and Bixby and robust phone+ offering.”

The 5.8inch Galaxy S8 and 6.2 Galaxy S8+ with the infinity display and bezel-less design gives 18% more screen space.

New features are water and dust resistance for 30 minutes, and Hybrid dual SIM, which can be used to insert additional SIM or memory card in a single versatile slot.

The device also provides 64GB internal memory expandable up to 256 GB with fast and wireless charging capabilities. The Bixby button is one additional new feature, which navigate services and apps with simple voice, touch and text commands.

Tashi Cell Managing Director Tashi Tshering said they were the first ones to tie a relationship with Samsung and start authentic distribution in Bhutan. “Before this legal partnership, most of the phones came through illegal channels across the borders or simply hand carried by people returning from abroad,” he said. “Our customers in Bhutan were deprived of owning authentic handsets with support services as well as warranties and best offers which is the reason why Tashi Cell got into partnership with Samsung.”

Tashi Cell also launched Samsung experience store near its customer care center.
