1 August 2018: The outgoing Prime Minister, Speaker, Cabinet Ministers of the second elected government offered Chhawang to His Majesty The King at the Tashichhodzong.
The government will immediately dissolve when an interim government is formed.
In accordance to Article 19, Section 2 of the Constitution of Bhutan, “The Interim Government shall consist of a chief advisor and other advisors appointed by the Druk Gyalpo within fifteen days after the dissolution of the National Assembly.”
