2 men arrested with drugs on Pling-Thimphu highway

Gedu police arrested two men for carrying drugs on 18th April at around 12:00 am  from Jumja, Gedu during their highway checking. One man was from Bongo, Chukha is 24 years old while the other is a 27 year old from Jamkhar, Trashiyangtse.

Two of them were travelling from Phuentsholing towards Thimphu and was driving a Maruti car.

The suspects were arrested with possession of 2,816 capsules of SP, 217 tablets of N10 and 7 packets of Marijuana, Hashish. They had hidden the drugs at the back bonnet of the car.

The police checked the vehicle based upon the information.

They are detained by the Gedu police and the case is under investigation. One suspect is helping his father with a business while the other is a vegetable vendor.
