Commemorating the 60th Birth Anniversary of the Fourth Druk Gyalpo and coinciding with the 108th National Day of Bhutan, Drukair released 60 lucky draw air tickets purchased during the timeframe of November 11 till December 16.

Winners of the lucky draw came from a pool of 4971 customers that purchased the tickets during the given time period from the outlets in Thimphu and Paro.  60 ticket receipts were handpicked by the CEO of Drukair, Tandin Wangchuk, along with representatives from Druk Holding and Investments, Association of Bhutanese Tour Operators and Tourism Council of Bhutan in view of the media.

Drukair officials pointed out that anybody who purchased the tickets during the timeframe were eligible for the lucky draw, including the employees of Drukair and other partner companies.

The winners will be able to fly to any of the Drukair destinations with return tickets. They can also issue proper authorisation so the prize can be passed on to any one of their acquaintances.

“This [lucky draw] was our way of celebrating the occasion with few lucky winners being able to travel to places they like. We might come up with similar lotteries depending on upcoming national occasions,” CEO of Drukair said, suggesting that a similar scheme will be announced at the birth of the Crown Prince of Bhutan early next year.
