New Indian Ambassador to Bhutan presents credentials

His Excellency Sandeep Arya, the new Ambassador of India to Bhutan, presented his credentials to His Majesty The King on 24 September 2025.

His Excellency Sandeep Arya, who served as India’s Ambassador to the Socialist Republic of Việt Nam prior to his appointment as the new Ambassador of India to Bhutan, replaces outgoing Ambassador His Excellency Sudhakar Dalela.

Ambassador Sandeep Arya joined the Indian Foreign Service in 1994 and has served in Indian Missions in Moscow, Kyiv, the Hague and Dar-es-Salam.

Following the credentials ceremony, Ambassador Sandeep Arya and his wife, Dr. Suveta Singh received an Audience with His Majesty The King and Her Majesty The Gyaltsuen.
