Thimphu police are looking for most probably an 18-year old suspect who stabbed a 24-year old man on the evening of 28 February near the Taxi parking in the capital, Thimphu.
The incident had occurred at around 5 pm and the suspect is still at large but the police assured that he will be arrested very soon.
The victim had sustained two minor injuries on his body though it was not life-threatening and was discharged yesterday morning from the hospital.
As per the officer in command of Thimphu police station, the suspect was drunk and was asking money from the victim who had refused. This led to an argument during which the suspect had taken out a knife and stabbed the victim.
The suspect who is unemployed had fled the scene while the victim was taken to hospital.
The 24-year old victim is from Gelephu.
“There has been a reduction in the stabbing cases as compared to before. One to two such cases are exceptional but we take stabbing cases seriously,” said the Officer in-command.
