Body of man missing for 41 days recovered

The body of a 64-year old man who went missing from home was recovered 41 days later, on February 23, from below Dechencholing in Thimphu chhu.

The son of the deceased, staying with him in Dechencholing, reported his disappearance on January 10.According to the police, the deceased, who was from Khomshar village under Zhemgang dzongkhag, could have drowned right after he went missing from home.

A 38-year old man from Gomdar,  Samdrup Jongkhar, was reported dead in  his residence on the same day. The deceased was an ex-soldier and was living alone in Hongkong market in Thimphu. According to forensic reports, the deceased, who was a chronic alcoholic, had  succumbed to liver cirrhosis.
