His Majesty The King granted dhar to four new dzongkhag Drangpons on 12 October 2017 in the Tashichhodzong. Gelephu Dungkhag Drangpon Karma Dorji is appointed as the drangpon of Tsirang Dzongkhag. Drangpon Ramjam Pema Choden of Thimphu Public Notary Office is appointed as the drangpon of Thimphu Commercial Bench. Phuentsholing Dungkhag Drangpon Pema Dechen is appointed as the drangpon of Thimphu Civil Bench. Drangpon Ramjam Kezang Choden of Thimphu Registry Section is appointed as the drangpon of Thimphu Criminal Bench II.
In accordance with Section 73 of the Judicial Service Act of Bhutan 2007, Dzongkhag Drangpons are appointed «by the Druk Gyalpo by warrant under His hand and seal on the recommendation of the Chief Justice of Bhutan as per the nomination by the Royal Judicial Service Council.
