Village hopes for better commercial farming
Chongshing gewog is maintaining their farm road with support of the Indian Government fund which will benefit 249 households of the gewog together with Denchi and Mandi village.
The maintenance of the road facilities will be completed by this month.
According to Gewog Gup Pema Dorji heavy rainfall during the monsoon season slashed off the road and it was not safe to travel.
Therefore the 17.2 km road is constructed to enable villagers to transport oranges and potatoes, the main cash crop of the community.
Villagers have started to rejoice in anticipation since proper road connectivity will help them transport their cash crops to neighboring countries on time and at cheaper transportation costs.
Apart from absent road facilities the gewog has water facilities to individual households. Initially two households had to share one water source.
