Annual Sports Day at Tshangkha LSS
Tshangkha Lower Secondary School will observe its Sports day today where students from classes PP till VIII will participate in various events on the day.
The day will start with a Marchang ceremony and later the students will take part in a march past. Besides that the day will witness track events in various categories starting from 100 meters race to 3,000 meters race etc.
Field events were previously conducted on 10 April which comprised Jump events such as high jump, long jump and triple jump and Throws such as shot put, Javelin and discus.
Winners will be provided medals and certificates, marathon winners will be awarded cash prizes and certificates. The Annual marathon was conducted on 6 April.
Tshangkha lower secondary school has 430 students and 18 teachers.

Development works still under the constructions
Five kilometers of farm road is yet to be started toward upper Athang connecting around seven villages with the budget allocated of Nu 4.5mn.
The gewog’s connectivity road (GC) is also under construction with the budget funded by the Royal Government of Bhutan (RGoB). And a new community information centre (CIC) and a gewog office has been constructed in the gewog with funding from the central budget.
A multipurpose hall (MPH) is also under construction with the budget of Nu 5mn.

Development activities in the gewog still under construction
The gewog administrative had signed a contract with Kaka constructions and Dhendup constructions for the maintenance of a nine kilometer stretch of farm road in Tsangkha and Babathang chiwogs which is still under construction.
The budget allocated for the works is Nu 4.3mn.
The outreach clinic (ORC) is also under construction and works are mainly focused on fitting of new electric wires and the budget allocated is Nu 150,000.
Two kilometers of rural water supply scheme (RWSS) is yet to be completed with the budget of Nu 53,000. The gewog’s administrative office is also under maintenance with the budget of Nu 400,000.

Development activities still under the process
The gewog centre road (GC) is still under construction from Gesarling gewog to Dorana connecting 21 kilometers of route and the budget allocated is close to Nu 70mn.
A new bridge in the gewog is also under construction in Limpala chiwog where the contract has been given to the Limden construction with the budget of Nu 2,471,000.
Three kilometers of rural water supply scheme (RWSS) is under renovation with the public’s budget within the gewog and the budget is of Nu 280,000.
All the other developmental activities in the gewog has been completed for the 10th year five year plan.
