His Holiness the Je Khenpo and Her Majesty the Queen Mother Ashi Dorji Wangmo Wangchuck graced the graduation ceremony of 62 monks from the Tango Thorim Shedra at Pungthang Dewa Chenpoi Phodrang, Punakha yesterday morning.
Her Majesty, the chief guest during the ceremony, was accompanied by Yab and Yum, Her Royal Highness Ashi Sonam Dechan Wangchuck, Lyonpo Damcho Dorji and Lyonpo Tandin Wangchuk.
The ceremony took place at the Kuen Ra of the Punakha Dzong. Following the welcoming remarks by H.E. Tshugla Lopen, tashi khadas and certificates of Masters of Arts in Buddhist Studies and Rigzhung Lopen Certificates were awarded to the 62 graduating monks.
His Holiness the Je Khenpo also addressed the congregation and the ceremony was concluded with offering of Tashi Moenlam.
