Immigrant worker’s dead body found, foul play ruled out

Thimphu Police ruled out foul play in the death of a man whose body was found near Babesa Bridge in Thimphu city on Wednesday.

The deceased, identified as Loge Urow from Jalpaiguri was a construction worker in Babesa.

Passersby who spotted the body informed the police around 10:30 am.

The medical team concluded there were no physical injuries on the body and that the most probable cause of death might have been hypothermia.

It was also learnt that the deceased was an alcoholic.

The victim was with his colleagues at the construction site on Tuesday at around 6pm, before he went missing. The body was handed over to the construction owner after the police investigation and will be taken to his home town for final rites.
