Raising the first question in parliament the North Thimphu candidate Tshering questioned the government about the enhancement of water supply in Jungshina, Dechencholing, Taba, Hejo, Zilukha and Kawajangsa and road condition in Begana.
The Work and Human settlement minister, Lyonpo Dorji Choden, said that solving the water crisis is a government priority. “The work will be done as soon as possible and some are under process” she said adding that drinking water isn’t a big problem, it’s just that there isn’t a continuous supply of water. This was because water was being supplied from villages in some parts of the north Thimphu like Taba, Jungshina, Hejo and Dodena and these places did not have adequate equipment and proper water pipes.
She said equipment and water pipes will be supplied and the water issue is expected to be solved this year itself and reach every household.
For the road conditions she said black topping in Hejo will be done by this year and the work is underway for the Pamtsho, Bebena and Jungshina.
Meanwhile Kenkhar Wrengla MP Rinzin Jamtsho questioned about the construction of bridge in Chentagang and Kuzhugang and black topping in between Begana and Kuzhugang in Kabesa.
Lyonpo said that since the number of vehicle plying in the place are high the blacktopping and bridge construction will be done to benefit a large number of people.
