PM addresses the Jigmeling Passing Out Parade

T he Prime Minister Lyonchhen Tshering Tobgay attended the Passing Out Parade of 143 police recruits who graduated from the Royal Bhutan Police Training Institute after the completion of a year-long training at Jigmeling, Gelephu on March 10.

Lyonchhen, accompanied by the Home Minister, Lyonpo Damcho Dorji and the Finance Minister, Lyonpo Namgay Dorji attended the function as the chief guest last Monday.

Speaking at the event, Lyonchhen told the 46th batch of graduating recruits that their sole precedence should be to serve the Tsa-Wa-Sum and our Kings unfailingly, uphold law and order, fight against corruption, criminal activities and fraud practices. Lyonchhen said that they should partner with the youth and work hard toward ensuring social welfare, safety and security of all citizens. Lyonchhen asserted that their work of upholding democratic principles and ensuring all people enjoy its benefits is of utmost importance.

Lyonchhen also informed the graduating recruits about the 11th FYP and the current developmental activities taking place in the nation.

Last Monday, 143 recruits graduated from the RBP training institute out of which 50 were females and 93 were male recruits.
