Following the successful state visit of His Majesty the King the Prime Minister will be travelling to Delhi on an official visit to India from 7-9 February 2013.
A press release from the Foreign Ministry said, Lyonchhen Jigmi Y. Thinley will be accompanied by Lyonpo Khandu Wangchuk, Minister-in-Charge for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Economic Affairs, Foreign Secretary Yeshey Dorji and other senior officials of the Royal Government of Bhutan.
During the visit, Lyonchhen will call on H.E. Mr. Pranab Mukherjee, President of India and H.E. Mr. Mohammad Hamid Ansari, Vice President of India.
Lyonchhen is also scheduled to meet the Prime Minister of India, H.E. Dr. Manmohan Singh, Finance Minister Mr. P. Chidambaram and other senior officials of the Government of India.
During the meetings with the lndian leaders, Lyonchhen will be discussing issues of
mutual bilateral interests including the progress of the 1Oth Five Year Plan, cooperation in the hydropower sector and the 11th Five Year Plan of the Royal Government amongst others.
The visit, which is in keeping with the tradition of exchanges of high level visits, will go a long way in further deepening the close ties of friendship and understanding between the two countries according to the press release.
