On 17th and 18th April, the Prime Minister Dasho Tshering Tobgay welcome home the first and second group of volunteers sent from Bhutan to Myanmar to extend humanitarian assistance.
The PM said, “Guided by the leadership of His Majesty The King, you carried out your duties with courage, compassion, and dedication. Tashi Delek and thank you for your service and a job well done. It indeed is a mission accomplished, as they say – but more than that, you carried with you the spirit of Bhutan and demonstrated to the world the strength of our solidarity.”
While welcoming the second group the PM said, “standing with a country in need, you reminded the world of what it means to serve with heart.”
He said they carried not just supplies and skills, but the compassion and strength that define who we are as Bhutanese.
“Your service indeed is a beautiful reflection of Bhutan’s spirit of solidarity and selfless service beyond our borders. And as with the team before you, this too feels like a mission accomplished, guided by the vision and leadership of His Majesty The King. Tashi delek, and thank you for your courageous and compassionate service, and for making us all proud.”
