Rinzin Namgyal wins from Trongsa and is ready to shoulder his responsibilities

With both candidates in Trongsa being educators, it is Rinzin Namgyal from Langthil who has earned the public’s approval as he won the National Council Elections 2023.

Rinzin Namgyal, 45, contested for the first time and garnered 3,109 votes to clinch the victory from Sonam Penjor.

With pledges surrounding around self-sufficiency, empowerment of local government, evidence-based policy decision, youth employment, and cultural promotion, he said that as an elected member by the public and the community, he will serve the nation.

“It was people’s choice, they have understood who can really serve the nation and the Tsa-Wa-Sum, and now I have the responsibility and I will have to shoulder the responsibilities bestowed upon me.”

With 19 years of experience in the field of education and having finished his Masters of Education from Archarya Nagajuna University, India, the people of Trongsa look forward to the kind of changes he will bring in during his term in the Upper House.
