A39-year-old year old man was found murdered on July 18 in Bay chhu, which is about 30 kilometer away from the Wangdue town, Wangdue Phodrang.
The victim, a non-national, was working for a private company based in Wangdue Phodrang as a driver.
The roommate of the victim, the main suspect in the crime was arrested on the same day.
The suspect and the victim were last seen arguing during at a dinner gathering on July 17. The police suspect the victim, the suspect and also 5 other laborers were under the influence of alcohol at the time.
Police were informed about the incident by the manager of the company where both the suspect and the victim were working at 1:00 am of July 18.
The murder weapon was a wooden block that was used to hit victim on the head. The victim was killed on the spot.
The suspect has also confessed to the crime to the police.
Meanwhile, the body of the victim was handed over to the manager.
Both the suspect and the victim are from Jalpaiguri, West Bengal, India.
