Third child program to apply to Bhutanese overseas

The Third Child Plus Programme (TCPP) applies to eligible Bhutanese families, whether they reside in Bhutan or overseas.

Bhutan is experiencing a declining fertility rate, and the TCPP is part of the Government’s broader effort to support families and promote sustainable population growth. The programme reflects the Government’s commitment to strengthening support for families and creating an enabling environment for child-rearing.

“As the Prime Minister highlighted during the inaugural cash disbursement ceremony, Bhutan’s greatest strength lies in its people. While Bhutan continues to invest in infrastructure and development, the true value of these investments depends on having a vibrant and growing population to sustain them and drive the nation’s future, “ said the Health Minister Tandin Wangchuk.

Through the TCPP, the Government is providing monthly cash support to eligible families, demonstrating its commitment to strengthening families, addressing demographic challenges, and building a strong foundation for Bhutan’s future.

For those who require further information and support related to the TCPP, they can call through the dedicated helpline at 02333335, available during weekdays from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
