3 arrested for bag snatching in Thimphu

Thimphu police arrested three men for allegedly robbing a 29-year-old woman on 7 March near Kuensel office at around 10:30 pm in the evening.

The incident took place when she was returning home. The three men in a group snatched her handbag, which contained some cash and few cosmetics item and fled. Based on information given by the victim, the police team apprehended three men.

Meanwhile, on 8 March at around 3 AM in the morning, police received a report that some cars in the Hong Kong market area had been vandalized. They couldn’t get hold of the suspect.

“If the suspects intention was to steal then belongings should be missing but nothing was lost from the cars. Therefore, whoever it is, must have done it when drunk,” police said.
